Biography
Alfredo Sorichetti is one of the most highly regarded Italian conductors of his generation, recognised for his energy, interpretative rigour and ability to combine technical precision with compelling musical communication.
He maintains an active international career, conducting symphonic concerts and opera productions at prestigious theatres and concert halls across Europe, Asia and the Americas, including the Musikverein in Vienna, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Rudolfinum in Prague, the Liszt Academy in Budapest and the Arena Sferisterio in Macerata.
He has collaborated with more than fifty orchestras in over twenty countries, including the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, Daejeon Symphony Orchestra, North Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and Orquestra Sinfónica de Cascais.
He is Artistic and Music Director of the Orchestra Sinfonica dell’Adriatico and, since 2018, of the Civitanova all’Opera season, where he has led numerous successful productions from the great Italian repertoire. He has also served as Guest Conductor at the Varna State Opera, conducting major Verdi titles.
Winner of the Orchestra Favourite Award at the 2004 Vakhtang Jordania International Conducting Competition, he studied with Myung-Whun Chung, Ilija Musin and Donato Renzetti. He graduated with highest honours from the “Gioachino Rossini” Conservatory in Pesaro and combines his artistic work with continuous interpretative research, establishing him as one of the most authoritative figures in contemporary Italian conducting.
